What is ROI-Driven Marketing?

Return On Investment is the Key to Marketing

roi
Will Power Marketing is an ROI Based Internet Marketing Agency.

We focus on SEO which is short for Search Engine Optimization because that provides a consistent and measurable return on investment.

However...  not all marketers are created equal.

roi driven marketing

...most are definitely not ROI-Based!

This is an example of YP or Yellow Page's pricing table.  Notice, there is no pricing table for SEO on our whole website.

You can't accurately judge pricing for search engine optimization service without looking at a set of variables.
  • Current website condition
  • Local Competition for targeted keywords
  • Number of searches done for relevant keywords

Unfortunately, these big companies like yellow pages don't do the proper research to make sure there are enough people searching for what you offer to cover your investment.

We offer complimentary keyword research which will show you EXACTLY how many searches are being done in your area for services or products your business offers.

Be informed.  Not taken advantage of!  Click here to get your keyword research done today.

How We Measure Return on Investment

return on investment
This is exactly how we measure return on investment!  We're going to use our appliance repair client as an example.  See his full SEO Case Study here.

He charges $85 to come out to see your appliance after going through a serious series of questions to make sure he can fix it.  In many cases he'll advise that you're better off getting a new one which would equal out to a 50% closing rate.

I'd estimate that his average repair job is $300 and 50% of people actually get their appliance repaired.

That'd mean the average price is $85 + $150 (50% of 300) = $235.

I'll also estimate that his profit margin is 30%.

Keyword Research = 130 Searches Each Month

We did a ton of keyword research prior to powering up the website with SEO.  There were a total of 130 searches done for the main keyword every single month.

I'm sure you're wondering what we charge him to add close to 20K to his monthly revenue!

It would be borderline unethical to disclose exact pricing publicly.  However, we aim for a 500% minimum return on investment with our SEO campaigns and a 1000%+ minimum ROI for our referral based SEO campaigns.

In a nutshell we have completely different pricing structures for businesses that are able to provide referrals.

3 Productivity Boosting Tips

Skyrocket your Productivity with these 3 tips

instant focus by patrick king
I just got done reading Instant Focus: How to Beat Procrastination and Skyrocket Productivity by Patrick King.

Most people after reading a book pat themselves on the back and do little to nothing with that information.  On the other hand I always implement what I read, but first I outline it in a book summary on one of my personal blogs.

For me writing things out really helps me remember things.  I keep an anonymous personal blog which will be released to the public once I'm famous.

Today I decided that this information would be great for business owners to have as well!

There are many AWESOME tips for enhancing your productivity hidden between the pages of this book.  Here are 3 tips that I'm personally implementing.

1) Screw the To Do List!

To Do List not, as Yoda would say (I think!).  I'm a serious to do list freak so when Patrick King said to throw away that magic list I was shocked.  Throughout the book he gave different strategies for productivity so you could see what works for you.

One of the options he gave was to put everything into your calendar...  EVERYTHING.

Change the default timing setting on your calendar to 15 minute increments because it has been proven by the richest men to be most effective.

How to implement:
  • Change your calendar's settings to 15 minute increments.
  • Schedule your batched tasks in order of importance in time slots throughout your day.
  • Give yourself slightly less time than the task demands
  • Schedule out your exact tasks the night before not just a block of time for follow ups, social media posts, link building etc.

2) "ABCDE" Your To Do List

I thought you said to screw the to do list...

True, but at the same time we need a place to organize our thoughts in order to grow.  The ABCDE List is just that.  Patrick says that you should take your tasks and order them into categories of importance.

Category A: Immediate Attention To Dos such as deadlines.

Category B: Important things such as follow ups, pre-meeting research etc.

Category C: The would be nice to do list or as I call it the the get ahead list!  The things that you don't NEED to do right now, but if you do them consistently you'll get ahead in life.

For me, prospecting is on there.  Running search engine optimization campaigns, designing websites and making click funnels is easy.  The hard part is finding people who need more customers, higher converting websites and a strong online presence.

Doing your "C" to do's is where you get ahead.  It's where you 10x it.

Category D:  The Delegate List - things that you can delegate right now.  These are things that aren't worth your time.  You should outsource these things right now.  I outsource my proof reading.  I won't be editing this blog what-so-ever!  My proofreading gal will come in to change all the than's to then's, and it make it sound better.

Category E:  Eliminate!  Things that suck up your time that you shouldn't really be doing.  For me that's constantly checking my SERPs (search engine results positions) or rankings.  I've got keep that down to once a week!

3) Positively Condition Yourself

This is a borderline entrepreneurial no-no, but I love it.  The mindset of an entrepreneur is always "on to the next one" after getting a little win.  I work 6am - 10:30pm almost everyday with an hour exception in which I schedule out some time with my daughter.

Allowing myself to receive some positive reinforcement would be nice.  Often I treat myself to a song in the car after a long day working, but switch to my audio books halfway through my commute home out of guilt.  What is Lil Wayne's latest rendition of cash, hoes and drugs going to do for me in the long run?

I'm going implement this positive reinforcement by treating myself to song or 5 minutes of "nerding out" on clickfunnels after getting being productive for 45 minutes.  Rinse and repeat!

Let the Productivity Rocket Launch!

I've got much more than just 3 things that I'd like to implement after reading Patrick King's book "Instant Focus" but I've set a 45 minute timer for this blog post!

We're almost over time so I've got to wrap this up.

I'd highly recommend that you read his book if you're looking to increase your productivity.

I highly recommend you schedule a call with me if your NEED for more productivity...

Has anything to do with getting more website traffic, leads or customers.

What's Link Building... and what's it have to do with SEO?

Backlink Building 101

I was explaining how Search Engine Optimization works to a local Connecticut Small Business owner on a call earlier today.  He had a lot of questions about what link building is and what it has to do with SEO.

So what is Link Building?  and How does it help my SEO?  (what is SEO?)
link building seo
Now that makes SENSE!  Thank goodness for Infographics! (made those on piktochart.com in like 5 min)

It's literally building links from other websites that LINK to your website.

Featured above we have 3 websites:
  • TheDanburyReview.com
  • ConnecticutBusiness.org
  • DanburyChamber.com

Having links pointing to your website from the sites mentioned above will greatly improve your SEO, Web Presence and how many people find you online.

Great.. but how do I actually Build Links?

You can go ahead and join the Danbury Chamber of Commerce for an easy link.  It's only $300 a year.

Oh, by the way you'll need a few hundred quality links to rank your website in the Search Engines.

Sounds expensive right?

Here's a couple easy ways to build links!  Pressed for time?  Check out the quick videos I recorded about how to build different kinds of links.

Link Building Recap

Link building is a great way to get backlinks which will "power up" your website.  A turbocharged website attract more traffic, leads and customers for your business.

Here's a little recap of what was discussed in the video:

1) Blog Commenting

Head on over to the Google Search bar and type in:

Niche + "2 Comments"

Look through the list of websites that pop up.  See if there are any websites with blogs containing at least 2 comments in here.  Make sure the blogs you find have a recent post in the last year or it'll take forever for your comment to actually be approved or not!  Find the most recent comment and click their website.

Put their website into Majestic to see their Trust Flow and Citation Flow.  Trust Flow and Citation Flow are two big metrics used by Majestic to judge whether a website has authority in the eyes of google.  Dive into their backlinks to see if they have that same blog giving them a good link or not.

When you find their link take a look to make sure that the Trust Flow and Citation Flow are about even.  If so, go back to the original page and put your comment up.  Given the fact that this whole process already took 10 minutes make sure to write something RELEVANT so it's actually approved by the site owner.

2) Links from Directories

Head on over to Google and type in:

Niche + Directory

Take a peak through the list of websites to see what pop up.  Go through the list of websites to make sure you grab one with that's from the USA.  Some SEO specialists grab directories from other countries, but I'd rather not.  Look through the directory to find a website that's from a directory link.

Grab that website's URL and put it into majestic.  Look up the strength of that backlink and build away.

Four important things to note when building links through directories!
  1. If the directory is FREE... stay away!
  2. If the directory wants a reciprocal link...  don't do it!
  3. Make sure you're paying for a link from the directory.  Most directories cost about $10 - $49 a year.  The good ones are lifetime links.  Never pay more than $50 for a link!
  4. Be certain that less than 30% of your back linking comes from directories!  As you can see this is a very easy way to build links.  Google will flag your website if you've got 100s of directory links and no other links coming in.

Building Links 101 - Wrapping Things Up

Building Links is one of the best ways to improve your search engine optimization, web presence and therefore get in front of customers looking for your business.  Link building with blog comments and link building with directories are just two of the many ways to get links.

Through the years we've compiled a list of blogs with high trust for commenting purposes.  Likewise we've also searched through the internet for months to find the very best directories.

I'm going to give out 10 of my top blog comment links and the three local directories that I use with all my clients in Connecticut.  Just email us at [email protected] receive 13 links you can build right now!  Each month I'll be sending you tips & tricks for SEO, Marketing, Lead Generation and Click Funnels.

5 Reasons Why You Need SEO Today

5 Reasons your Local Business Needs SEO

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is the process of getting your website ranked on google.  You probably already know you need it, but you’re not exactly sure what, or where, it’s really going to get you. Here’s 5 reasons why, if you don’t already have spot-on SEO, your business needs it pronto.

1) GET MORE CLICKS by being in the Top 5

seo ct
Top of our list, and the most obvious benefit of being one of the top 5 in search results; you get more hits on your website.

In fact, 75% of users interact with the first 5 search results!

More hits = more business. Yahoo! (Or Google.)

So how do you get there? With a really great meta description and your business’s uniquely targeted keywords.  Both make up the definition of solid SEO.

2) It’s the First Page, or No Page

search engine optimization
A popular internet marketing joke is "Where’s the best place to hide a dead body?  The second page of Google!"

So awful, but so TRUE! With 85% of searchers not scrolling on to the second page, being on the first page of Google should be your business’s SEO goal (better still…being in the top 5 on the first page of Google).

This isn’t easy. But it is possible with an SEO pro guiding you.

3) Get “IN” with google, get Represented

Like Kleenex is to tissues, and Xerox is to photo copies, Google is to all things searched on the Internet.

In fact, Google owns 65-75% of the market share! But Google is fairly picky about how you position your business on their search engine, and they’re more than happy to boot you if you don’t fit their criterion. It’s good to have an SEO pro working with you. (In fact, it’s almost necessary.)

4) Pay Per Click Ads don’t usually pay off

seo companies
So, you’re searching for a local personal trainer on Google (summer is coming, after all). You notice an ad has popped up on your screen. You click just for fun, then move on your fitness-minded way.

Well your click means Google just charged that business owner money (hence the name “Pay Per Click ad”), but he or she got nothing in return. Or maybe, you don’t click at all. 70-80% of visitors don’t either.

Some SEO companies call it “buying keywords.” We say, put your money into better SEO opportunities.

5) Score 15x more leads than with Social

The SEO facts don’t lie; 15 times more people convert to leads via Internet search than through social media.

Wait 15 times...  but I get tons of leads from Social Media already.  That's because social media is easy!  Anyone can throw up a few Facebook posts or get some likes for their pages.

We’re not saying social media isn’t worth it, it for sure is worth it in so many other ways. But if you can grab 15 times more leads with SEO, why wouldn’t you?

So, by now you must be curious…how DOES your business rank on Google?  Contact our SEO Experts to find out.
